These Trade Account Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all orders placed by trade customers (“you”, “the customer”) with Home Build Doors (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating under JDJ Group Ltd.
By placing an order or holding a Trade Account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.

1. Trade Account Eligibility & Use

1.1 Trade Accounts are available only to verified trade professionals and remain subject to approval and ongoing compliance.
1.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any Trade Account where payment terms, communication standards, or ordering procedures are not followed.
1.3 These Terms override any previous communication, agreements, verbal instructions, or assumptions unless explicitly agreed in writing by Home Build Doors.

2. Ordering Process & Sign-Off Requirements

2.1 All orders are custom-made and manufactured strictly according to the Final Order Sign-Off Sheet.
2.2 The Final Sign-Off overrides all previous communication, including but not limited to:

Emails
Phone discussions
Site drawings
Photos
Surveys provided by you
Assumptions based on earlier quotes

2.3 It is your responsibility to check the sign-off thoroughly before confirming. By placing your order, you accept that:

The sign-off is accurate and complete.
The order will be manufactured exactly as shown.
No further amendments will be made.

2.4 No changes can be made once the sign-off is approved, regardless of manufacturing stage, supplier lead time, or installation schedule.
2.5 Home Build Doors cannot be held liable for incorrect measurements or specification errors.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Deposits
All trade orders require a 50% deposit before any order can be accepted or submitted into production.

3.2 Remaining Balance

The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 5 working days before delivery.
If the balance is not paid within 24 hours of the invoice being issued, the delivery date will be automatically moved to the following week, and written notification will be sent.

3.3 Brand-Specific Payment Policies
Some manufacturers—including Origin—require full payment upfront due to their short lead times (typically 3–5 working days).
Orders for these brands will not proceed until full payment is received.

3.4 Multi-Brand Orders
If your order includes items from multiple manufacturers with separate delivery dates, the full remaining balance must be paid before the first delivery is dispatched.

3.5 We reserve the right to hold goods, pause production, or reschedule delivery until full payment has cleared.

4. Pricing, Quotes & Validity

4.1 All quotes are valid for the period specified on the quotation document (typically 30 days).
4.2 Quotes are subject to change if suppliers adjust pricing, materials, or availability before the deposit is paid.
4.3 Trade discounts apply only to the products and quantities quoted and cannot be transferred across future orders.

5. Delivery, Delays & Redelivery

5.1 Delivery dates are estimates based on manufacturer lead times and may change due to production delays, logistics constraints, supplier issues, or non-payment.
5.2 Home Build Doors cannot be held liable for any costs arising from delivery delays, including labour, installation scheduling, or project management costs.
5.3 If no one is available to receive delivery, or access is restricted, redelivery charges may apply.
5.4 If goods must be held due to site delays or late payment, storage fees may be applied.
5.5 Deliveries are kerbside unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Condition of Goods, Damage & Reporting

6.1 Goods must be inspected on delivery or within the mandatory inspection window specified by the manufacturer.
6.2 Any damage, missing components, or defects must be reported with photographic evidence before installation begins.
6.3 Home Build Doors is not liable for:

Damage caused during installation
Damage occurring after delivery
Scratches or marks found after goods have been installed or altered

7. Supply-Only Basis & Installation Responsibilities

7.1 All trade orders are supplied strictly on a supply-only basis.
7.2 We do not install products, and therefore cannot be liable for:

Installation errors
Misuse of products
Incorrect handling or storage on-site
Issues caused by third-party installers
7.3 Advice provided by us is guidance only and must be verified by your installer or project professional.

8. Manufacturing Tolerances & Product Specifications

8.1 All products are manufactured to industry-standard tolerances set by governing bodies such as GGF, PAS 24, and others.
8.2 Minor deviations within tolerance do not constitute a defect.
8.3 Colours may vary slightly between materials, batches, or suppliers; this is not considered a fault.

9. Cancellations & Amendments

9.1 Due to the bespoke nature of our products, all orders become non-refundable once the sign-off is confirmed.
9.2 Cancellations cannot be accepted after manufacturing begins.
9.3 Deposits are non-refundable unless a statutory exception applies.

10. Warranty & Aftercare

10.1 Warranties vary by manufacturer and will be passed on directly to you.
10.2 Any warranty claim requires proof of purchase, images, and an explanation of the issue.
10.3 Warranty coverage does not include:

Misuse
Installation faults
Wear and tear
Site damage
Unauthorised modifications

11. Consequential Loss & Limitation of Liability

11.1 Home Build Doors does not accept any consequential loss under any circumstances.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Labour costs
Installation delays
Loss of profit
Project penalties
Accommodation or contractor expenses
Damage caused by third parties

11.2 Our liability is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the product deemed defective under warranty.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By opening a Trade Account or placing an order with Home Build Doors, you confirm that:

You have read and understood these Terms.
You are authorised to act on behalf of your business.
You accept full responsibility for the accuracy of all sign-offs and measurements provided.
